Your body is like a big road map of interconnected highways. An obstacle at one exit — say, gum disease — is going to impact traffic flow elsewhere, like the heart. Everything’s related. That’s why keeping up with your dental, vision and hearing screenings is so important. Fortunately, your UnitedHealthcare® Medicare Advantage plan* may have you covered.

For most plans, preventive and diagnostic dental benefits such as regular dental cleanings, oral exams and fluoride treatments are included with your coverage. The copay for these preventive services is typically $0 at a network dentist up to a certain amount. To see the amount your plan covers, review your Evidence of Coverage online or call the Customer Service number on the back of your member ID card.

Almost all Medicare Advantage plans offer a free annual eye exam. Your plan may also include an eyewear allowance that you can use to pick up a new pair of eyeglasses or contact lenses. What’s more, most plans offer an annual hearing exam for a $0 copay*. And if you do need to address some hearing loss, many plans offer a selection of hearing aids.
