Over the course of 7 days, we’ll help you take charge of your health and prepare for your next annual wellness visit with your primary care provider (PCP). That way, you’ll be able to create a plan that helps ensure you get the care, treatment and support you need — and deserve.

The bonus: You’ll become more tuned in to your body and mind, and you’ll learn how to ask your PCP for what you need. And that has one very important payoff: You and your PCP have a roadmap that will help lead to your best possible care.

 

Ready to get started? Here’s how it works: Download and print the Renew Checkup Challenge Activity Guide. You’ll use this to complete mini self-assessments, quizzes and checklists. There’s also plenty of room to jot down notes and questions. At the end of the challenge, schedule your next checkup (if you haven’t already) and bring this guide with you to share with your PCP.

Then come back each day to learn about important health priorities for older adults and to see how you’re doing in each area. This is what we’ll cover:

Day 1: Assess your physical activity level
Day 2: Test your balance
Day 3: Think about your bowel and bladder function
Day 4: Check in with your feelings
Day 5: Take charge of your care
Day 6: Check your medication knowledge
Day 7: Make your health emergency plan

Each day features an article and a related video to deepen your understanding of each topic, while providing plenty of tips you can put into action right away to help feel your best.
